Basic information!
[ Personality ] :
Ami is probably the biggest bookworm you will ever see. Her whole life revolves around studying-- from the moment she rises to the time she goes to bed, if she's not at school or studying for something, it's a very rare sight. Even when she's meeting with her friends, she has her study guides and is studying between dialogues, just enough to be called “studying” without detracting too much attention from what's going on in the discussion. She even goes so far as to take her study guides with her to the beach on a vacation, earning a scolding from Usagi for not taking time for fun when it's time for fun. In fact, she's so serious about studying, that in one of the specials, it's revealed that if someone consistently matches her perfect scores on mock exams, she deems them a rival and will never stop trying to beat their scores. (Although Button is still confused on how she thinks she'll manage to get a better than perfect score.)
Because of this deep investment into her studies, Ami has little “street smarts”-- and just as much romantic sense. She isn't awkward so much as she is oblivious, dedicated entirely to her goal of becoming a world-renowned doctor rather than harboring many notions of dating or marriage. However, she does tend to be a ditz when it does come down to romantic problems. She tends to analyze her problems with relationships with her head, with little regard to her feelings. This is true about familial and friendly relationships as well-- in the R season, the biggest personal conflict she faces while earning her single attack skill in the first to seasons is her decision to stay in Tokyo with her friends rather than go to Germany to further progress her schooling. This decision is only made because Chibi-Usa reminded her of what made her friends so precious-- she was literally at the airport, waiting to board, before she changed her mind.
Ami isn't the type of girl that would run away from a problem, though, as many bookworm-types would. Rather, when she encounters trouble, she quickly uses her massive amount of intellect to analyze the situation and determine the most effective, most efficient solution to whatever issue is at hand. It tends to be reflected most strongly during battles; even in the middle of combat, if it's needed, Ami will pull out her hand-computer and analyze the battlefield for monster weaknesses while the others distract it. She thus relies rather heavily on her own mental fortitude, which seems to be a fairly rare trait along the Sailor Moon series.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
As states before, Ami's biggest strength is her mental fortitude and ability to reason through anything. She is extremely formally logical-- it's easy for her to see that if A=B, and B=C, then A=C. However, because of her intense focus on studies, she isn't particularly suited to solving matters of the heart-- feelings tend to confuse her rather strongly when they progress to anything more than friendship.
As a Scout, as Sailor Mercury, Ami has water-based powers, plus an analytical set of goggles and a computer that can work with the goggles to analyze any substance and any force field imaginable.
Her water based powers in this arc is limited to Bubble Spray, which does little more than set a cold fog in on the area.
She has a total and complete weakness to love letters that causes her to spaz and freak out when she receives them. It's rather adorable, really. She also tends to get itchy and break out in hives when she touches one.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
Ami will be arriving with her transforming pen and her super computer, but little else besides the clothes on her back.
[ Sample ] :
It was cold. She'd expected that, really, being out in the North pole. And dying, the last she'd checked.
But she was also wet, which didn't make any sense at all, because she distinctly remembered the swet on her brow freezing in place while they were walking around looking for the entrance to the Dark Kingdom. So how could she possibly be this wet?
And she hurt all over the place. Surely if she was dead, she wouldn't be feeling pain, nor would she be feeling the water drenching her skin.
Ami slowly opened her eyes and tried to sit up. She didn't understand-- was that a shark swimming in the sky?
Where did this city come from? How did she get here? A sudden, shocking thought shook her to the core. If she was here, in this strange city, and she wasn't dead...
“Where... where is everyone?!”
[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] :
This might have been the fastest I've ever written an app. I apologize for the lame.
